Seal Press

The earliest seal press designed to emboss a seal onto paper rather than wax was made in 1782, although in all likelihood this was not the first.  According to a history of the Great Seal of the United States, the 2.3″ diameter seal of the Continental Congress and its seal press were made in 1782.
